It is important that children who are high ability readers have appropriate levelled books to keep them engaged. Each story is banded at Grey or Dark Blue and contains imaginative and well-developed plots to keep them engrossed and get them thinking.
Book bands are a system used in UK primary schools (ages 4–11) to categorise reading books by difficulty level. They typically use a book band colour code to represent each level, making it easier for students, teachers and parents to identify books that are appropriate for a child's reading ability.
